About Me
- Kimberly Long Cockroft
- I live, write, and work in a sweet town perched on the edge of Puget Sound. My work has been published in a variety of genres, including poetry, fiction, and children's literature. I love sharing my passion for words and community with folks of all ages, from elementary school students to adults, and have been privileged to do just that for many years as a teacher, journalist, spiritual writer, and friend. Pots of tea abound.

Fight Hunger & Poverty

Ariel told us it was snowing in Boone last night.
That did not stop the game watching and post game celebration though, as UNC Tarheels won their fifth Basketball Title in overwhelming fashion.
Your sister and Luke will be quite happy, as is your folks.
Ariel watched at MacAdoo's, their favorite campus hang out on King Street.
Franklin Street was a total Zoo we're told, thousand's of revelers out celebrating and Bon Firing.
We will hit 30 here tonight, your Auntie is covering her just planted tomato plants and Marigolds.
By Thurs and Friday we will be back in the Seventies in time for a three day Easter Celebration.
He is Risen Indeed!

Whatever the grammar, they is right much happy Ya'll!
Footnote on southern syntax, Ya'll can be both singular and plural.
