Your Auntie and I went to see "Live Free or Die Hard" last night.
I did not like the second or third sequel in this series, but this one is a hoot.
As with all summer escapist fare, one has to suspend rational thought to fully enjoy it (A bad guy helicopter flying around in D.C. after 9/11? Please, it would be toast in 30 seconds!) but Bruce Willis has a great time in this one.
His young co-stars, Justin Long and Mary Elizabeth WInstead (a local girl from Rocky Mount, related to Ava Gardner) complement him nicely, and the bad guy is cartoonishly over the top.
Great special effects, somewhat plausible plot because of all of the systems hacking that occurs (I can verify that it is worse than the media portrays due to my industry knowledge) and a lot of smart aleck banter that we've come to expect in a Willis movie.
Don't take the little kids, but anyone over 14 or so should enjoy the movie. The only thing that warrants the PG13 is some rough language.
